HEAD OF COUNSELLING / MANDARIN
Wong Poh Sieng or also more familiarly known as "Bao Chan" has been serving in One Hope Centre since 2009. She serves Chinese-speaking clients and currently is the head of counselling department. Backed with a Masters in Counselling and more than12 years of counselling experience, she mainly serves adults who struggles with gambling and spending addictions.
Bao Chan enjoys conducting different kinds of group therapies for her clients, being trained in different kinds of approaches. Some of her classes involves art and also story-telling. She believes that these holistic approaches empower the client to learn more about self and also their family members when they do it together.The journey of recovery is not easy, but it can also be fun at the same time.
ASSISTANT HEAD OF COUNSELLING / ENGLISH
With more than 5 years of counselling experience, Anna serves OHC’s English clients. Anna also received training in the United States and is a certified counsellor in Sexual Addiction. She is passionate to see breakthroughs from people struggling with addiction issues and restoration of family relationships. She believes that counselling is the best way to extend therapeutic healing to people who suffers from behavioural addictions.
Anna is a dog-lover that enjoys being in nature and having a walk in the park
COUNSELLOR / MANDARIN
Sandra Chay is One Hope Centre’s part-time counsellor that serves Chinese-speaking clients. She earned both Master of Divinity and Master of Education (Counselling) in Singapore. With more than 5 years of counselling experience, she mainly serves adults who struggles with gambling and spending addictions. She also conducts group therapy for couples and family members to support better healing in the recovery journey. For Sandra, relapse prevention and support groups are very important for recovery. She has been with OHC since 2016 and is passionate about improving clients’ emotional health and well-being.
Outside of counselling, Sandra enjoys learning soft skills especially in arts and crafts.
